This Privacy Policy explains how Athena.live collects, uses, shares, retains, and protects information across event, ticketing, organizer, attendee, analytics, and support workflows.

Athena.live handles account, event, order, attendee, registration, check-in, support, analytics, and operational data.

Organizers may also receive attendee information for their events and must use it lawfully under their own obligations.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account and profile information, such as name, email address, organizer details, public profile content, authentication information, and communication preferences.
  • Event and order information, such as event pages, ticket types, registration answers, attendee names, order status, check-in status, refunds, payout records, and support requests.
  • Payment and compliance information processed by payment providers, such as billing details, transaction identifiers, fraud signals, tax information, and payout eligibility information.
  • Usage, device, and analytics information, such as pages viewed, clicks, referring pages, approximate location, browser, device identifiers, cookies, and similar technologies.

2. How We Use Information

  • To create accounts, publish events, sell tickets, process registrations, deliver digital tickets, support check-in, issue confirmations, manage refunds, and provide organizer tools.
  • To operate, secure, debug, improve, personalize, measure, and develop Athena.live, including analytics, fraud prevention, abuse monitoring, support, and service communications.
  • To send transactional messages, event updates, account notices, security alerts, support replies, and marketing communications where permitted by law and user preferences.
  • To comply with legal, tax, accounting, payment-network, sanctions, dispute, chargeback, safety, and regulatory obligations.

3. How Information Is Shared

  • With organizers, co-organizers, event staff, venues, and authorized team members when needed to run the event, manage orders, answer attendee questions, check in guests, or send event communications.
  • With service providers that help provide hosting, databases, email, authentication, analytics, customer support, security, storage, payment processing, fraud review, and operational tooling.
  • With payment providers, banks, card networks, identity or compliance vendors, and dispute processors where needed for transactions, payouts, refunds, chargebacks, and fraud prevention.
  • With authorities, courts, regulators, counterparties, or advisors where we believe disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, protect rights, prevent harm, or enforce our terms.
  • As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, asset sale, bankruptcy, or similar corporate transaction involving Athena.live.

5. Organizer Data Practices

  • Organizer-created registration questions should collect only information reasonably needed for the event.
  • Public organizer profiles, event pages, embedded events, and public event details may be visible to anyone and indexed by search engines.

6. Retention and Security

  • We keep information for as long as needed to provide the service, operate events, maintain records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, comply with law, and support legitimate business purposes.
  • We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
  • If you believe your account or ticket information has been compromised, contact info@athena.live promptly.

7. Your Choices and Rights

  • You may update account details, organizer profile details, and communication preferences through available account settings.
  • Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of certain personal information.
  • You may opt out of non-essential marketing emails using the unsubscribe method in those messages. Transactional event, ticket, account, security, and support messages may still be sent.
  • California and other U.S. state privacy laws may provide additional rights. Athena.live does not sell personal information for money, and we do not knowingly use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics without a lawful basis.

8. Children, International Use, and Changes

  • Athena.live is not directed to children under 13, and children may not create accounts or buy tickets without appropriate parental or legal authorization.
  • Information may be processed in the United States and other locations where Athena.live or its service providers operate.
  • We may update this Privacy Policy by posting a revised version. Material changes will be handled as required by applicable law.
